ISLAMABAD: Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman stressed that international organizations are losing their significance, with the OIC also having lost credibility and becoming a hollow spectacle.

Speaking during a parliamentary session on the budget, Fazl highlighted that Pakistan is the first Islamic nuclear power, having effectively responded to India and diminished Modi’s arrogance. He criticized the Pakistan budget, stating it was not crafted by the Finance Minister but dictated by the IMF. Fazl called for Pakistan to stand firmly with Iran and urged Islamabad to extend full support to Tehran following Indian aggression. He expressed regret that when Pakistan responded appropriately to India, international pressure was applied to halt its actions; similarly, Iran’s retaliatory measures are often restricted. Fazl also accused Modi of victimizing Indian Muslims by promoting Hindutva policies.

Fazl advocated for Pakistan to engage more actively with regional neighbors and neighboring states. He lamented that Pakistan is drifting away from friendly nations. He warned the establishment against meddling in politics and parliamentary affairs, noting that the legislation process itself reveals undue external pressures. Fazl also voiced concern that the rights of governments in Pakistan’s two provinces are being compromised, describing it as a distant dream.
