ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had a telephonic conversation with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio. During the call, the Prime Minister appreciated President Trump’s role in the ceasefire between Iran and Israel. The two leaders also discussed the situation in the Middle East.
According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, the Prime Minister expressed gratitude to Marco Rubio for the U.S.’s key role in the ceasefire between Pakistan and India.
The statement further mentioned that the Prime Minister and the U.S. Secretary of State reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening Pakistan-U.S. relations and agreed to continue close cooperation in the trade sector.
Both leaders also exchanged views on the situation in the Middle East.Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that Pakistan will continue to play a constructive role in establishing peace in the Middle East.
